Church doesn't start until 2 pm. That makes for a long and lazy Sunday morning. We started with French toast and then started to play.
| E plays with the German hardwood marble run. |
| Sorting Legos seems a family obsession. Grandma most of all. |
| Since we are planning to GO to the zoo, we decided to build one. |

| The clerk at the Lego store gave each of the kids a piece of a rainbow road ( they were for the Gay Pride parade this weekend, but we didn't tell the kids that). We built a LOT of rainbows.. . . |
| . . . and other things. |
Then E and A and I decided to go for a walk in the cemetery. It is always lovely and shady.
| A especially liked all this pink. |
| One couple was clearing away a lot of ivy and such. |
| E and A wanted to help, so they found a box and gathered up all the scrap. Which was doubly nice because the man was disabled and couldn't carry anything. Sweet kids. |
| E&A also wanted to use the watering cans and watered all the flowers they could find. That took a while. |
Look at the dates on this stone: that is a LONG time to be alone.
| Sunday we invited Elfi Herrman to come for dinner. Although we had a meal prepared, she brought potato dumplings (Klosesse) and goulash.. Steve was awesome and just kept eating. |
| All agree : Elfi is the German version of Aunt Shirley. |
| We had purchased some really good quality paints at ALDI and so we had to use them. |
Both the birds and the flowers are growing.
| E checks on the birds and waters the flowers (and lettuce and tomatoes) everyday. |
| Nothing beats a Grandpa and his I pad : especially if he is showing Swedish Chef Muppet videos. |
